New TV - £300-400

Hi all,

I'm currently looking to get a new TV, preferably around 40-42", but obviously this depends very much on picture quality and reliability.

I've found the following but thought, as with all important decisions in life, I should ask OcUK for advice first.

Yep, i'd buy that telly with my own money. Panasonic as far as I'm concerned make the best tellies & I used to sell 'em. Still when I used to sell 'em that equivalent model back then would've been 8-10 times the price.

Been out of the loop though a while now (ten years) so I can't really comment on reliability like I used to be able to, though the main telly in my house is a 28" tube model from 2002 that still works, Geometry's gone on it but I won't replace it until it goes bang, I still watch freeview on it via the old DVD recorder.

Doesn't have a PC/VGA input which would put me off, but nothing you can't solve by getting an HDMI graphics card for your PC (not so easy if you have a laptop though...)

My laptop has an hdmi output.

I hope you guys weren't being sarcastic as I'm currently standing in Currys waiting for my tv to appear out of the warehouse!

Are the black levels OK? It has an IPS-Pro panel I believe?
