New TV - Yes or No?

So, my 2013 Sony HD 55 inch is still going strong, top spec, £2500 at the time, great picture, great sound.
Been out of the market so long, are current spec ones around the £1500 mark miles better?
Got the itch but quite attached to it, so only want to pull the pin out if there is a BIG improvement.
Any ones to look at? Cheers and have a good one

Funnily enough there is a Richer Sounds at the end of my road ... will pop in tomorrow. Difficult comparing old a new thats the prob?

I went from a 2016 lcd to a gx lg oled and was amazed. Like truly impressed. The biggest wow was high quality HDR.

If you buy one, watch the scene in oblivion where cruise falls into the old library - dark room, bright lasers - a great demo.

That's whats buggin me ... blurays on the old sony still look pin sharp ... stream stuff not so much. Thanks for advice tho ... looking forward to a demo.

Can give you a code for a 55" Panasonic LZ1500 for £1359. Bargain and that will blow your Sony out the water.

No chance of getting to Richer Sounds with all the xmas prep, oh well.

Just had a look at one of these in Curry's. They look brilliant. It's either this or an LG C2. I won't be gaming on it so no real need for the LG.
I'm leaning toward this - just waiting until January sales in hope they knock these down.
Not interested in the Samsungs.

Not yet ... loads of family over for chrimbo so demo will have to wait.
