Hey i am looking for some recommendations for a new tv lcd id love a 47in the ones i have been looking at are the LG 47LH5000 or the LG 47LH3000 i would be using it mostly for gaming using the 360 and ps3 does any one here have one of these models and use the 360 or ps3 on them if so could you give me your opinions please thanks.

and if you could recommend any other tv`s that would be greatly appreciated my budget is around £850.

With that kind of budget I would be leaning towards Sony and Panasonic for an LCD.

For that money I'd be looking at a plasma , although IR may be a problem if you game a lot

Thanks for the replies, and yeah will be using it for gaming more than anything else, do you recommend any Sony and Panasonic tv`s ? id go with a 42in but would rather a 47.

Whats the Panasonic TX-P42G10 like for gaming ? i have heard good things about it but i am unsure as its a plasma and people telling me about image burn but with modern plasma tv`s is this such a big problem ?

I have a Pana TX-P42X10 Plasma and it is fine for gaming in moderation (when I have a new game I might play it 2 hours a night for a week or 2, but generally only a few hours a week) but I would be a bit more weary if your main use is gaming. 5 hour sessions etc might not be too good for it.

They do look awesome with films though, both SD and HD

Image burn is unlikely to happen with modern plasmas unless you display a static image 24/7 or heavy usage within the first 250hrs , however image retention, caused by static images, where an image is "ghosting" over the image on the screen can occur after extended sessions although this is only temporary.
