Hi go and take a look at the newly released SAMSUNG UE49KS7000 you can pick one up for around £1299 with 5 year warranty.
As for the refresh rate its not overly important on games consoles its more about what is called Input lag.. you can read about it in the link below.

Looking at reviews of the latest samsung models the input lag is measured around 22ms when in game mode which is very good.

I bought a 49ks8000 last week and it's been brilliant. Gaming is great, hardly any lag and picture is fantastic.
As peahead said above, the 49ks7000 would be great, don't think there's much difference between that and mine. I opted for the KS8000 simply because the stand fits on my stand.

You buying or just having a nosey? Let me know how you get on. I'm itching to pull the trigger now but a few hundred of it would have to go on my cc and since I'm remortgaging in the next 6 weeks or so I don't want to use my card. Hopefully should have the funds next payday (17th June) so may take the plunge then.
