Hi guys first off i must apologize this is one of those I need a new tv thread.

Our old tv a LG 60uh850v Bought back in 2016 (i think) We were happy with this tv tbh. but alas one of my grandchildren decided it would be funny to throw a toy at it.
Anyhow tv is now broken and we need a new one,

the budget i have is around £1200.

We mainly watch movies and the wife plays the odd Nintendo Switch game. we will be looking into getting either one of the new Xboxes or PlayStation 5s at some point down the road.
We would use the tv at all times of the day and night. we are already used to having to close the curtains because of the sun making daytime tv a pitta.

We have all of the streaming services and Sky q. and have a Blu-ray player connected. and again looking to get a 4k Blu-ray player.

So far i am looking at the LG OLED C2 55.
as i have said above we had a 60-inch would we notice the 5-inch difference going from a 60-inch to a 55-inch?

And this will be our first Oled i know this is going to most probably be a silly question but i would imagine the quality should be a massive jump up ?.

In an ideal world, i would love to step up to the 65-inch but funds won't allow it atm (the wife would be just as happy with a 40-inch no name brand tv).
I have seen several wites selling a 65-inch LG OLED65CS6LA, and one even included a free LG S75Q soundbar for £1399.

Thank you for reading

Thank you for the reply.
Yes, picture quality is very important to me and my grown children.

One thing that really bothered me was when watching a tv at night the black/dark scenes were sometimes almost grey, We actually watch a lot of movies. Hence why i was looking at an OLED now they are a lot cheaper than when we first got our old tv. We also found that we enjoyed Dolby Vision over standard 4k ultra etc. (Even the wife often commented about it)

Well, thank you guys for the replies. i decided to order the 65-inch LG OLED65CS6LA. with the LG S75Q soundbar,

Although me looking around and thinking the tv went up to £1499. i managed to get it price matched from another retailer for £1399.

Even though i emailed telesales to see if they would price match. and the reply i got was the following"
Many thanks for your email below.

Option 1:
I am pleased to confirm that as Competitor currently has the TV in stock and advertises a 5 year warranty, I can currently price beat Competitor' price of £1399 for the LG OLED65CS6LA TV on its own and sell it to you for £1379 with a free 6 year guarantee, providing that competitor can also deliver to your postcode area.

Option 2:

If you were wanting the LG S75Q soundbar which we are advertising for FREE with the LG OLED65CS6LA TV, then the best price I can currently offer you this package for is £1449.."

I then phoned the telesales and they price matched instanley with the free soundbar for £1399.

Anyhow will be pur first OLED so fingers crossed.

Does anyone own this tv with a Soundbar ?.
This time because we have moved house the tv will not be mounted on the wall so will be on a stand, and i was wondering if there was enough height on the tv stand to accommodate a soundbar. i have noticed some TVs now come with an adjustable tv stand for this reason.

Just a little update.
Had the tv and soundbar a while now.

All i can say is wow its an amazing tv both picture and the sound from the sound bar is also good not realistic atmos i must admit but its good enough for now,
