What are these like?

I need to get 4 new tyres for my GF's Street KA

195x45x16.

they are £52ish fitted from blackcircles.....are they a decent enough tyre?

The local garage quoted £58 for some budget tyres.

Had some on my VTR and they seemed brilliant the time i had it, apparently not so hot in the wet, but i never noticed anything too bad about them in the damp.

All in all a good choice i reckon.

As above not too bad in the dry but show it anything remotely wet and things become 'interesting'...

I found they wore very quickly in comparison to Goodyear and Michelin of a similar price bracket. Got about half the miles out of them IIRC - 6k vs 10k for the above.
I found them a good sticky summer tyre but the instant it went a bit wet they where a little "unpredictable"

Just to back up what has already been said, they are impressive when warm and in the dry, but in the wet they left me wanting. I'd look into alternatives if I were you.

I like them, nice stiff sidewalls and personally didn't find wet weather a problem as long as you get some heat into them (ie don't drive like a poof) They're hugely popular with the road rally fraternity too.

Big fan of 539s here too. Stiff sidewall and the wear rate seemed goond. They aint bad in the wet......but like said they need heat and with the weather going the way it is i cant see that being a issue
