New vagas Stability

I'm finding this game very unstable ,I'm lucky if it lasts 30mins without a crash ,have tried adjusting all the settings but seems to make no difference ,have it set on steam to patch as they become available but dose not seem to have patched as yet .

Anyone found a solution ?

First thing to try is go back to stock clocks on your cpu,ram,gfx

Fallout3 was very twitchy when it came to overclocks and i'm pretty sure new vegas to be the same

Yeah tried that ,even turned off all startup items in msconfig .

Turning off adaptive power management in nvidia drivers helped a lot for me.

How do you do that ?
