New Warcraft Project - Alliance PVE Casual Guild

not if your trying to achieve a sense of community and togetherness where everyone is at a similar point in the game. Level cap gameplay is boring as sin.

if it doesnt interest you please move on......i understand.

That's basically what you're asking people to do though?

I'm all up for raiding and doing old content, but thought the rules you've posted are a bit, constricting for lack of a better word.

The Rules don't help you achieve the sense of community and togetherness, that's a natural development of communities. Rules constrict, or rather rules this strict.

thanks for your input.

its not everyones taste, but the rules make it different from most normal rerolls.

we will in the next fews days see if there is enough interest, nothing may happen......all i can say is that on the official forums, a guild with the exact same rules now has over 150 members......its called Outdated Meme and is doing classic raiding part of the same reroll plan.

The Rules you've set out should come as a natural progression of having a group of people interested.

Lets say you can get ~20 active people interested, then agree on a server (PvP/PvE/RP) then agree on a fraction.

Level caps, while I agree it's fun to do content at the level it was designed to do it at, it's too constricting to threaten removing members of surpass this. The lower level content was better in Vanilla WoW due to the differences in game play and mechanics earlier in the games life.

Guilds like this need the initial player base and then need to evolve rules from within, it's a very dictatorial set of rules, my way or the high way.

Would a happy medium, in terms of levels is to limit gear to level 60 gear, to have all the players play together on set nights and let them have active other characters to play at alternate times?

I'm interested in this, but feel that your rules are constricting.

Rules for online communities are better depending on the community, something that works on the WoW forums might not work on other forums.

how can you have people on set nights? thats constricting, people should be able to play when they want.

Yes it is, by joining this reroll you agree and accept them, if not, then there is no point in joining.......im not forcing anyone to join :)

the level caps are agreed on from day one, that one there can be no confusion, if you say go over the level cap accidently and then lock the xp that would be ok.

however if you go over a raid cap for example 61.......beats the whole point on the reroll.

being level 85 is boring, having people stay at 60/70/80 for a month at a time will allow them to experience what it was like back in those days.

It won't because the mechanics of the game have changed so much since I played through the level 60, 40 man raids.

Having players all play together on one night, as an example, is no more constricting then the rules put forward. You'd have set nights to raid on too.

Capping the level you said yourself is boring as sin, but it's what you intend to do

I'm all up for this, but find the rules overly constrictive and backwards. I'd have thought given the fantastic community at your finger tips on Overclockers you'd be able to work up a set of rules, as there are many experienced and very good players on here.

if you dont like the rules then why are you in this thread? you made your arguement and opinion and thats fine.

anything else at this point and im starting to wonder if you are purposely trying to put people off this, this was never in competition to the Frostmane guild, its for people wanting to start from scratch and level up with people at the same time, clearly something that a guild full of 85s doesnt have.

*sighs* ;

I've registered my interest but I've said that I dislike the constricting rules.
I've offered an alternative, find the players interested and build rules (based on the above if you like) to suit the community we have here.

lolworthy dictatorial 'if you don't agree go away' attitude.

Not at all. Community is already an active and friendly guild. The players do what they please. I don't constrict my members, if they want to organise alt's that are capped at level 60 then they're more then welcome and I'll accommodate and help them in every way possible. A lot of the members of Community have started from scratch and are enjoying it. I don't really understand why you'd bought this up

i wish you luck with that, please lets end this conversation here.

some like these rules, some dont.....most wouldnt of even bothered replying if they didnt like the rules ;)

this may not get anywhere, but as i said, you get nowhere without asking if there is interest......so i am.....if not.....ill continue my search for another reroll project of some sort elsewhere......it would just be nice to do it with OCUK peeps.

im making the rules clear from day 1, so that way there can be no confusion.

now if you dont mind id like to get this thread back on track so peeps who are interested can make it known....if there is anyone :p

I think i'll pass. I'm definitely up for some casual raiding on a PvE realm but with those caps i'm going to be spending 5 days a week twiddling my thumbs in guild chat until we get to 60.

Good luck with the guild mind.

ok i will put you down on the list

One of the good things about level caps is that when you hit it and dont have anything else to do (such as professions) you can do that outrageous thing called......log off and do something else :D

Im eager to create a guild not full of addicts but casual people taking their time to enjoy content in a slow yet organised fashion while fully taking care of their jobs and families etc etc.

Yep, interested in this, though fear that levelling may be slower for me than others, all my heirlooms are on TM horde and not transferring a char over just so I can use them! Count me in on a slow levelling mage :)

I'd be up for trying this out, be nice to see some of the old raid instances again without just facerolling through them! Not too worried about class, but would probably play a hunter or a warrior tank.
