New Websites that talk to YOU!!

Wow, that is awesome. Speech technology on computers has compe a long way since Superior Software's efforts on the BBC Micro!

It is pretty good isn't it! Much better than i expected! It's worth a go if you havnt tried it yet!

I think this will really help people with disability's and also lazy people like me! :)

We, here at work, use a program that does something liek that, called JAWS. if you move your mouse over anything, it talks and tells you what you opionting at and reads any text attached to it.

its very nice, but takes more system resources that norton!

Windows Vista has a voice recognition feature. By being sent an audio file with the instructions, if you had the feature on, if your microphone could pick up the sound from the speakers and if the moon happened to be pink then theoretically you would have a 0.0001% chance of some files being deleted.

Ahhh thanks for clearing that up.

"Reboot my PC" or "Format my C drive" might be a good one to send out then :p

I know a guy who is 100% blind and using JAWS and another peice of similar software manages to read and produce documentation to amazing effect - it's very impressive.

Except higher level functions, such as that, require you to use the mouse/keyboard. He could, however, have lost all his mp3s etc.
