New weird motherboard problem - NVME and SATA related

I set up a PC over the weekend using an Asus Strix B450-F motherboard. I have an Adata XPG NVME drive in the primary M.2 slot and a 960GB Sandisk SSD connected via SATA.

Everything was fine and working perfectly, Windows installed, games, everything updated. I did a restart and all of a sudden it wouldn't recognise the nvme drive any more. I had to completely remove it from the machine and put it in again for the system to spot it was there. Then as soon as I reconnect the SATA drive into any of the 6 SATA ports, the system fails to recognise the NVME drive, and it's pull it out and reinsert the drive time. I’ve tried all 6 ports with the same result.

I've reset the BIOS multiple times and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

On one occasion I got the bios to detect the SATA drive, then I removed and reinserted the NVME drive and the bios spotted both of them. But after 1 minute in Windows the system froze. After restarting the bios couldn’t see the NVME drive again. Using an OCZ 750w PSU so cant see that being the problem.

Does it sound like it's RMA time for the motherboard?
