new years day football *SPOILERS*

Just seen the highlights, Newcastle were good value for the draw given the injury list, i'm sure that if they could play like that week in week out, there would be little need for the "official worried" thread! :p

Four excellent goals though, every one of them.

[Edit] Just seen the West Ham performance, and it really makes me ashamed to be a Man Utd fan. How on Earth did we lose to this rabble? I just really can't get my head around it.

It isn't a worried thread anymore. We just haven't changed the name. :p

All credit to Arsenal, they were fantastic, was always going to happen with Henry returning. After Sankofa got sent off it was always going to be a damage limitation exercise, I would have probably of taken 4-0 at that point of the first penalty and sending off! Glad we didnt upstage West Ham. May have been a different story if Luke Young was playing instead Sankofa but thats neither here or there. Im not too dissapointed, were not really competing with the likes of Arsenal this year.

The new stadium is fantastic, best in the league by a mile. But I have to agree with some of the lads I was talking to in The Woodbine before the game, it does lack soul, atmosphere is poor. Although there were 3,000 of us trying our best. :p

Great choice of pub :D

The atomsphere is an odd one, in some places it sounds great, but in the higher tiers it doesn't sound as good. I'm waiting for a great big European night, I reckon that will be electric
