new years day football *SPOILERS*

Liverpool to 3rd then.

After watching the replay it was more of pole and faye just bumping into each other. From the live feed it looked like a butt.

That wasn't far off from Sami Hyypiä :D

Bolton really haven'ty got going, haven't seen them play this bad for a while.

Oh man crouch has missed 2 sitters, great with his legs, but my god he is crap with his head, mind you jaaskelinen is having a stormer.

We need the goals to catch with the bleeding gooners GD.

FT 3-0 3RD in the league thankfully 9 points from 12, from some tough games, cant be bad.

Great 2nd half and also the best 45mins Pennant has had in a Liverpool shirt. Sami was excellent at the back, i don't think you will see many other teams dominate Bolton in the air. Another screamer by Crouch but then goes and misses 2 sitters.
All in all a good start to the new year.

Ever since Anelka arrived they've had him through the middle with Davies and Diouf as the wide men. As for Liverpool; very similar to the season so far, plenty of chances to deliver balls into the box but on the whole the quality of cross has been poor. Wouldn't mind seeing Garcia coming on, i know he's a bit hit or miss but he's got the ability to create something from nothing.

Whenever ive watched Bolton (pretty much every live game this season) it's always been davies down the right, and Anelka dropping deep and working the ball inside from the left. I've never seen Anelka play like he did today for Bolton. They just left him up top on his own pretty much and it didn't work.

No, never worked for Chelsea for the past two seasons did it. It works for some and doesn't for others. Diouf was having to do too much in his own half to concentrate supporting Anelka today, and whilst Davies was winning 50% of the aerial battles, the ball wasn't dropping anywhere near a Bolton player.

Worked for Arsenal for years and as mentioned works for Chelsea.

Leeds are battering Coventry. Could easily be two by now. One last ditch tackle on Moore and an apparently top-drawer save from Healy by their keeper.

We're going to get punished if we don't start taking chances.
