I'm planning a trip to New York with a friend the week before Christmas and was wondering whether anyone could recommend any good/interesting hotels at all?
I've been over a few times and have generally stayed near the park, downtown or in Brooklyn, so I'm interested in anything around the village, chelsea, meatpacking district, williamsburg, or anywhere else interesting. Basically somewhere slightly more interesting than as close to Times Square as possible. Happy to look at large (Trump-type) hotels or boutique places.
Ideally the budget would be around £3,000 including flights for both.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
