Just watching the Sony PS merting 2011, they have unveiled the new PSP called the NGP, next gen portable. They also announced some thing called playstation suite that brings PS games to android devices, not sure if its just Sony ones but it sounded like all droid platforms. The NPS looks like a psp in shape but includes,
- TWO ANALOG STICKS (not sliders more like "proper" sticks)
- six access motion controls
- new game media (flash based carts)
- big big screeen
- and a touch pad on the back
- Front and rear camera, with a microphone
- 5 inch OLED
- 3G plus WiFI
- GPOS
- 4x resolution of PSP (
- Touch screen
- Touch pad on back of device
- PS3 quality graphics
- Released this holiday season, in Japan

Some games
- Killzone
- Little Big Planet
- Reality Fighters
- Uncharted
- WipeOut
- Resistance

Will post more when it happens, get info.

Interesting....but will the NGP but another PSP against Nintendo? Yes, Sony may have the tech with hardware but it was the audience which made the Nintendo DS beat the PSP by miles. Unless the NGP is priced cheaper than the 3DS then I can see the PSP situation happening again.

I'm half asleep still but looking the pics of it on Eurogamer it's exactly the same as the current PSP. As in 'looks ••••'. The mockups looked 10 better.

Like the PSP, it looks awkward to hold. Gripping it by your fingertips to use the left analogue stick while hovering your right index finger for the touchscreen looks a bit unbalanced. Hope it's light!

Also, do the sticks push in to be flush to the casing? If not I can see them getting snagged on pockets etc. when people are using them out and about.

Am I Reading this right? They're bringing out the complete Uncharted 1 game and it runs exactly the same as it did on PS3? That's quite impressive.

I think it looks superb! The original in all types was nice to hold but the PSPgo was terrible.. That looks excellent.. And the screen should be incredible if the OLED stuff i have seen is anything to go by.

If the price is good and the battery lasts a good 4-5 hours of game play this should be fantastic.

Playstation Suite looks like it will be giving apple a run for their money in the mobile gaming department with android games store coming later this year.
