if the rules are flouted by vendors then we will all end up paying the price as this sort of entertainment will end up being banned
if it has an 18 certificate on the buyer should have to produce ID (they do in america even though I'm 37 I still ahd to produce photo id to prove my age)
sure the games may still end up being played by children..but it then becomes the parents responsibility and not the games industry or the retail industry
if the shops openly sell to under 18's then the do gooders can argue that the games industry and retailers do nothing to stop it from happening and they will clamour for blanket bans
the certificates are there to ensure that they can say we are doing all we can to make sure only those of a certain age can play these games, its not our fault what happens once it gets into the home...
I want to be able to play adult games as I'm an adult and wouldnt want shops out to make a buck to put that at risk
