newsgroup files help

Hi All i,m getting pretty good at this newsgroup stuff ha! just downloaded 4 t.v episodes and used winrar

all work great ! one thing i wanted to ask is about Newsleacher , in the Server Set-Up on Connections what is it best to set to i have it on 16 ?

You should keep all queries to one post. It'll help you and people browsing the forum.

I get 20 connections with Astraweb and I have it set at 12, just because it's a maximum doesn't mean you need to use all the connections available. You'd probably max out your connection using 6 really.

I have been downloading with Newsleacher , but can you download more than 1 file at a time like torrents ? as it seems to just download 1 file at a time ?

Torrents don't usually max your connection so having more than one download at the same time doesn't really matter. Usenet will/should max your connection so put your downloads in order of importance and leave it to do its thing.

Just add everythink you want to download to the download queue in newsleecher and it will download one rar at a time until the whole queue is finished.

if you want to do this newsgroup stuff, research everything you need to know first. Or you will fail.

agree it took me about 6months to learn where i am now and thats kind of enough to download and extract files etc
