I don't know why you have to get so mad over someone not hearing about a game, nor what makes you think its anyones fault.

I wonder how I ever heard about PoE, but never came across Vindicus? Oh right, more people were talking about PoE, word of mouth is the best form of marketting.

Never seen anyone on this forum mention vindicus before, so yes I doubt that very many people have actually heard of it.

I don't even read a single one of the sites you linked to either.
 
There's a few threads here about Vindictus bhavv, it's always talked about on sites like MMORPG.com as well. I didn't like it because of the peer 2 peer lag but it was very popular.
 
I hope they buy it and burn it too the ground along with developers, customer support and all the hardware storing the info on the 90% of dross they release, I would accept losing the 10% of decent stuff to see the rest destroyed forever.

If they charged people to watch to see them blow up EA HQ I am sure they would get the money back in no time.

the Asian games market has it's fair amount of trash thats released for a quick profit, it's hardly perfect. look at Japan, even native developers have criticsed the games that are coming out of the country of late.

That's a nice bucket load of assumption you have there. At what point did I automatically assume or state that the video games industry only had a place in the Western world? And at what point did I state that I had never heard of Nexon? They're responsible for Maplestory I played as a kid, Combat Arms I played before I did CounterStrike/other FPS, and Vindictus which I recently participated in the beta for. A quick google search will provide you with the statistics that EA are a larger business than Nexon.

The same goes for Aeleys. That idiotic response doesn't even warrant a decent reply. Yours wasn't too far off in its assumption.

as others have said they have put in a bid. that is all that has been said. it may be for the frostbite 2 engine. or the rights to the sims franchise. i would imagine a sims like f2p mmo in the eastern world would go down pretty well.

thing is we just dont know. that "article" is as vague as the mole on my arse cheek

now they are talking about mergers and stocks rising

Ahh right, sorry for my mistake.

E: I guess I made a mistake when I said that EA were 3 times larger. I went off different indicators that suggest they are quite a bit bigger but when it comes down to assets they are roughly the same. oops.

i wouldn't say they were on top for the actual asian market thats a hard one to judge, but they are for the west if not very close to it for the asian games they bring us, years later :p

Please point out to me where Nexon was mentioned by me in my post and where i said specifically that they were trash?

Trash might be a bit harsh but im referring to the countless games that are released by various companies that are tie ins to x y or z anime series or exist just to pander to fans of a certain genre.

The western industry has the same problems one could argue, with the abundance or fps games that are carbon copies of what has came before.
 
The asian games market is indeed huge, but most of it we wouldn't touch, it's very grindy, almost shovelware to us.

This is why company's don't get contended in the west, most people are brainwashed into thinking no one else makes games, god forbid better or more popular ones, with millions more players...

Why would I be mad at all. Maybe I just find it ironic that the self proclaimed 'little prince' of all knowledge hadn't heard about one of the biggest game to be released in the last year.

There are plenty of people in this thread who had never heard of the game, nor nexon, go pick on them why don't you?
