Indeed. I loved my S3 when I had it, but you HAD to root it - it meant I was able to remove all the crap that was installed on it by default.
Franco Kernel and stock Rom.
stock is still lacking basic features imo. for instance cyanogen mod you can change the sound of charging and uncharging each a different noise. the quick settings button that you get in the notification bar work how they should in that you click to change the state, or hold to get to settings, unlike now the airplane mode is click, wifi is hold to enable, and data doesn't change unless you go to it's settings page. messy. there is lots mods correct which i'm disappointed stock android hasn't done yet.
What are you using gravity box on (rom / kernel wise)?
Oops... weightlifting and Nexus 5s don't mix.... a nice cracked screen for me!
Fortunately I've got phone cover on my bank so I can get it replaced for £20... and all my data is backed up, and app data through helium/carbon backup.
What a PITA!
Stock rom and Franco Kernel. I just downloaded Xposed framework, and install GG kitkat version not hand any issues since November. We have the same set up, have you tried wiping your device and installing again. Also I think you need to be on Dalvik when install GG.
Yep, tried Dalvik and ART. Wiped both times. When you say you are using GG kitkat, what do you mean? Do you mean GB kitkat?
The only other thing I've done (consistently) is drop my LCD density to 400. I wonder if that could be causing it issues
Back to the trusty N5 whilst I sort out the issues with the M8.
I forgot how rapid this phone is and what a joy it is to use.
I might not go back to the M8.
At the moment two. I like to run just one if I can.
Although it doesn't hurt having a backup phone....
What's your thoughts on the M8. Been thinking about a Google play edition version.
