Really tempted to jump too the M8, size is slightly off putting, it would stick out of my skinny hipster jeans :(. The build is pretty awesome, sound on the N5 is pretty poor, listening to music on headphones is decent but at times it can be a little quiet and not as clear as it used too be. My baseline for audio was the SGS which was amazing once you tweaked it abit.

Not too worried about camera, if it is decent enough to capture most normal scenes and pics of the misses I'm good, anything more demanding I generally take a camera with me e.g. concerts.

Battery life is pretty solid from reviews, sadly your was meh, but benchmarks looks solid.
 
Yep all devices have it depends on how you record. I take loads of video of my kids. Just have to make sure TV and radio is off and it works OK. Its static background noise that causes the issue.
 
Looks like the OTA servers are absolutely overloaded at the moment... I've been unable to check for any updates since yesterday morning :eek:
