*** Nexus 5 THE Official Thread ***

yeah i guess that can play a factor,

winds me up that google have taken this decision on no SD cards.

Yep, after having the N5, I don't think I'll get another phone without an SD card, as long as there are some available.

I've got by okay with the 32 GB version, but I've had to make a few changes, and I've had a few times where the limited storage has just been annoying.

It's a shame, as it can turn an otherwise lovely device into an instant no go for a lot of people, especially when there's not a 64 or even 128 GB version available.

Yes I feel the same when Google play editions come to Tue UK I might opt for a more expensive device with swappable battery and SD card.

its so annoying i consider trading my beloved N5 for a despicable S4 only for the SD card option, 3 albums in FLAC and a 1080p recording and bang there goes the storage in an instant

I've got a black 32gb and only have 8gb free, that's with google music too so no local tracks.

I have a lot of games installed though and a movie or two.

I'd think I'd be more annoyed at myself for buying the wrong phone. Didn't you read the specs before buying it?

Is it me or is the new camera much slower? Definitely prefer the old one, in both design and speed...
It's marginal if it is any slower.

Definitely more options and it looks more like a camera app now, before I always thought it was a bit bare bones and a after thought.

It seems just as quick to me. I'm not a big fan of the huge bar where the shutter button is though, literally takes up around a quarter of the screen. Other than that it seems decent enough so far.

The audio hiss is still present when recording video, but i didn't expect the camera update to fix that. Hoping 4.4.3 fixes it though, otherwise it's never gonna be fixed :(

I don't like the way the new camera app processes the image when using camera blur, I feel that the HTC M8 handles the whole operation far better and quicker which less fuss.

I'm not into moving the camera upwards, the ease with which the M8 just takes the picture and then the user adds u focus is awesome.

Other than that the new camera app is a welcome addition and if Google continue to improve on it, then it's only great for the end user.

It'll never be as good as the M8 as it doesn't have the hardware support for it like the M8 does. But for just software, it's not actually that bad.

I doubt I'll ever actually use it, but it's a nice little gimmick none the less.
