Anyone got a nice simple way of rooting my Nexus 5?

I want Cyanogenmod on there, I miss all the nice built in features I had on my Cyanogen Galaxy Nexus.

Forgot how I rooted my original phone, it was so long ago..

I guess you mean't unlock the bootloader, Google "Nexus Root Toolkit".

Wow... the audio hiss bug when recording a video is finally fixed!

I've been reading mixed reports when it comes to weather or not it's been fixed so i didn't get my hopes up, but for me personally the bug is gone. I have tried recording with a tv on in the background and in a silent room (the two situations where I've had hissing problems since November) and i have no sign of hiss for the first time ever.

Not had a chance to play with 4.4.3 yet, as the audio hiss bug was the first thing I've checked for. One thing i have noticed is MXplayer no longer works :( but I'm sure they'll update it soon to work with 4.4.3.

Very happy that i can now record videos without worrying about the sound issues :)

Ended up using d1639's ktu84m UpDater simply because I was stock rom but had an unlocked bootloader and recovery ... literally downloaded the modified archive, boot in to bootloader, run his batch file and sit back ... done in a couple of mins

The XDA lot always profits of doom. I am hearing positive stuff that that hiss is gone from everywhere else apart from XDA. Let's be brunt mobile phone recordings are never going to have pitch perfect sound.
