This is getting boring now, another new game that runs slower in SLI.

I'm patched up to v1.2, is there a profile for download ?

Even with all settings on low it only gives 25fps, do you need a core2+g80 to play pc games now?

Why don't they program games to use dualcore 64bit + SLI if you've got it, I'm getting a 360 FFS.

Gonna try booting up on 1 core too, maybe get another 5fps out of it :D

You will as well, when I played through setting affinity to a single core gave me 5 fps extra...

The game's made by EA, whaddya expect?

amd dualcore @ 2.64 / 240fsb 1:1, 2gig ram 2.5/5/3/2/1T, 2x 7800gtx at stock.

As the game is not programed to use 2 graphics cards I'm stuffed as I don't think one 7800gtx is not good enough for todays games.

I get 7700 in 3dmk06 too, thats when dualcore+SLI is used lol.

There's absolutely no point in going quadcore atm if game manufacturers are treating the pc as record companies treated vinals when cd's were introduced.

something is wrong....when you are running on a single card your system is almost identical to mine..and mine plays the game no problem

just ran 3dmk06 with dualcore/sli:
7639
sm2: 3442
sm3: 3324
cpu: 1973

booting up with singlecore/1 card (as what this game & others like SCDA run faster with)
4081
sm2: 1717
sm3: 1824
cpu: 1030

My system is running fine, unless new drivers are making the older graphics cards run slower in order to make the g80 appear much faster.
Come to think of it the g80 uses a split memory interface & the core uses separate structures for dx9/10 which don't sound the best way to do things to me, how about r600?

Sure you aren't using some kind of crazy settings for this game like vsync or very high resolution? 25fps on low settings sounds totally wrong, SLI or no SLI.

Also try setting the process affinity to a single core.

Indeed, I get 40+ FPS on my AGP X850.

Yes me too.

This is the end of PC gaming for me.

maybe its cus of using hdr or ps3 thats producing extra effects which is killing my 7800

At the rate at which the programming of current games are depreciating too, I cant see there being any 'class' pc games in a year. As why should you have to spend £400 just on a graphics card to play a game properly when there are consoles that play games better at half the cost.

How are you seeing the FPS in NFS? I just gave the demo a blast and it's very choppy even with everything on low/off.

Must be a beautifull game @ 60 FPS with everything on, I realy want a decent racer for the PC, but seems 360 is the only way to go.

Must be doing something wrong. I have a 7600gt and this game runs fine. Everything set the high as well. In fact its one of the few games that does run good on my rig.

I have noticed lately that games either need monster rigs to be playable (just) - or seem to work better on middle to lower end systems and are plagued by problems on the monster rigs.

I'm going to wait and see what DX10 is all about. The only time I will EVER upgrade to Vista from XP is if DX10 is mind blowing. If not, then my 7600gt will be the last GPU I ever buy. And my CPU will be the last upgrade this machine gets. Any games will be played on a console. This machine is more than adequate for Office/Net browsing and doesn't really need another 2 gigs or RAM to print out a spreedsheet

OK there is definitely something wrong if you guys are getting such bad FPS. I am not one of the "my rig runs everything maxed out, uber smooth" brigade, as I'm pretty demanding and view even 75fps as sub-optimal. But on my system (slightly more powerful than 3800+, 1gig PC3700 CAS2, 7900GTX) I was running in 1280x960 with a mix of high and low/medium settings and had 50-70fps most of the time (sometimes when surrounded by police cars it did chug a little at around 40fps or so).

There are a few settings you need to tweak in the menus, definitely turn off visual treatment and turn down shadows and stuff, but it's pretty easy to find the ones that have a big impact. Simply run FRAPS while you are in the advanced video menu and see how your FPS change when you adjust each setting.

Well on my rig - it never drops below 60fps even at the start. I'm pretty damned sure it's not SM3, not a chance in hell. There is something wrong somewhere.

this game kills my conroe system as well with x1950pro in crossfire, I get 15FPS on 2 cards and 25FPS on 1 Card, my mate gets 35FPS on his x800 but I think this is because his card doesnt support all the special affects and so doesnt slow the system down, its really annoying though when new games dont support new(ish) technology
