NFSMW: BMW in RL

That was built by the makers of the game and given away in a competition, the winners sold it on ebay for about £50k because they couldnt insure it!

hahahaha, are these guys the winners then? is that why they dont drive it about? :p

They tried to make a killing as I remember, it was over 100K I think when they first tried to sell it! It was treated with the derision it deserved if you ask me, awful bloody thing for the 'bling' generation.

Bah humbug

Definitely idiots. Look at the condensation coming out of that bad boy exhaust. Must be a cold morning, and they're bouncing it off the bloody limiter.

Hardly bouncing it off the limiter...

Might have been the service restriction limiter not the full limiter, though it did sound some revs off that still. The service restrictor will not let the car rev past 5K when not moving or when out of gear on the later E46 M3's. A good option if my experience of BMW stearlers is anything to go by...

Yes perhaps you were rolling your eyes if you cant read a rev counter...

:p

Never once did I hear the RPM bouncing up and down on the limiter... so your comment was just silly... it was merely revved to the standstill limit and backed off... bouncing off the limiter is holding full throttle so the limiter cuts the engine and alows it to rev again... So my comment stands, HARDLY BOUNCED OFF THE LIMITER

With no load, revving the engine to that (6k) rpm late in the warmup process will do no damage whatsoever, and will actually aid in warming up the oil faster...

The condensation was there because the engine was rich, still on "choke" (richened by the ecu before anyone deems it neccessary to try and correct me), that had gone by the time he revved it to 6k anyway...

:p
