I have a NH-D15S on an Intel 10900K, however I'd like to use it on the AM5 chipset which saves me a ton of money. The problem is, it seems to be pre AM4 and the adapter plate that comes with it says

AM3+

Does that mean it wont fit?

Cheers

It won't fit as the spacing is different. However, the cooler is compatible with AM5 and if you google "AM5 Order Form", there's a dedicated page on Noctua's website where they will send you out the appropriate mounting kit for free. You have to provide some details but in my experience it's relatively painless.

I could link directly but the website does provide competitors.

I have a similarly aged NH-D15S and got the AM5 bracket via Noctua support for my 7800X3D. They just wanted a photo of the cooler with a few details on a piece of paper in the photograph if you don't have the receipt readily available.

Edit: typo

Just a quick question, how long did it take to arrive?

If you don't want to wait a Thermalright Phantom Spirit for £30 would do just as good of a job (if not better) and can be ordered for next day.

Thanks man, decided to spend a tenner and get the kit on the cooler I already have. I've got two Yellow Vortex fans on either side of it :D :D :D
