Nice hotel in Vancouver

I'm thinking that if I can't find anywhere else then the Best Western is my reserve choice. It is £528 (inc Tax) for 7 nights with breakfast.

All the places in ownerdirect.com that are close to the Down-town area seem to start at $200 CAN per night so way out of my price range. I did find one that is £423 + Tax (how much is that? 15% = £486) but it seems quite out of the way:

I like the idea of a house/flat/apartment as you can sort your own meals out without needed to eat out every night. But the extra cost of travelling to places... oh the dilemma!
 
the place my folks had wasn't too expensive, otherwise they wouldn't have gone there!! maybe have a look on tripadvisor for a holiday rental??
I'm not sure which tax you have to pay on accomodation, there's two different ones over there!
the one you are looking at is probably too far out of town to bother with i'd say, used to play football out that way...
