Nice moment today...ATM related

Was walking through The Oracle in Reading the other day and some bloke took his wallet out of his pocket in one of the shops to pay and a £50 note fell out of it, I thought he'd realised until he started walking away from it, so I picked it up and gave it back to him. All I got was a grunt and him walking off, no thanks, not even a smile.

Anyway as I though karma owed me one I went and bought a scratchcard, won a nice tidy £50.

Everyone's a winner :D

Had one of these in liverpool too

Walked to the machine and £40 was sticking out. Some guy had just walked off so I took the cash and ran after him to get my karma points. I shouted to try and get his attention, he heard me and started to run off! :D

Haha, excellent.

Nice about the scratchcard but it really ****es me off when people don't say thank you. I gave £10 at a church collection yesterday, the guy holding the collection basket didn't even mumble a word.

There was a thread on this a while ago.

But I've done exactly the same. Some guy walked off back to his car, l;eaving money in the machine and I ran after him with it. He actually didn't seem very thankful (probably just embarrased), but he got a rollocking off the wife in the car, lol. :D

on my way in to work over the summer i stopped at a cash machine to get money for lunch. the old lady in front of me had forgotten to take her cash, but by the time i'd noticed she was nowhere to be seen.

so instead i stood in front of it and waited until the machine sucked it back up (didn't even take that long) so that no-one else would take it. :)

I thought you were going to say you kept the money!

It's great that you had the decency to go after them and give them the money back. Good on you :)

I have done that for someone who left £20 in the machine, £200 would be a bigger test but I think my better nature would make me do the right thing.

You never know what they might need that money for and plus the karma monster would get you in the end ;)

Many years ago I got bothered by a tramp when I was at the ATM and I walked off all flustered and left my money in the machine, walked across the road and was just about to ask for a couple boxes of smokes when a little kid came running and handed me my money - looking down into my wallet I had a fiver, so I gave it to him - instant karma :D
