Not a totally successful day. A lot of my photos were out of focus but generally the D3000 and 35mm f1.8 were a pleasure to use.

The woman is apparently called Holly Quin-Ankrah and is in Coronation Street. She was absolutely stunnnning! :)

Feel free to criticise because I need to improve. Yesterday was just a bit of a learning experience for me really. Lacks of focus usually happened when I was panning as the horses walked past me. There were occasions when I was crying out for longer reach as well.

Right, links don't appear to be working.

Can I not link to flickr? Do I have to upload them elsewhere?

I click on 'grab the link'. Is there nothing one flickr to link to so they show in this thread rather than a clickable link?

Plz fix your links so we can have a looooook :D

EDIT: You can link from flickr. Goto 'Share this' then choose 'Grab the HTML/BBCode' then select BBCode and the size you want.

Mmmm 4/10

:)

You need to copy the actual image address rather than the link to flickr page. Flickr doesn't seem to have an easy way of doing it... if you click share at the top, then html, you can copy part of it out of there. Then put IMG tags round it on forums.

Yes you used to have to do this, but they've redesigned Flickr and as Squeezo states above, all you now have to do is go to the "Share this" button above the picture you want to link, then select the size and then select and copy the BB code and then just paste it directly into your post. Adds the picture, the link back and your user name as well.

Meant to add that I was mostly shooting f1.8 and ISO100 all day. It was only late on when I had to up the ISO to 400 to get a fast enough shutter speed.

Anything higher than ISO400 on the d3000 would be pretty nasty imo. 400 is passable with his lens.
