Nildram - good speed for newsgroups / Giganews

I had a usenet account about a month back. Wasn't Giganews but it maxed out my connections so no I dont think so. You even get a free giganews account with Nilly, although it is limited to 2x30KBps threads.

Yeah I've heard from a few others who say that say nothing is throttled, so that's good.

Looks like Nildram is my next ISP :D
I might be joining you there - after my exams at least, not for newsgroups mind, just to escape MinusNet.

similar story here. already put in my MAC request and planning on going to Nilly the only thing putting me off at the moment is the Pipex connections.

Anyone got any info on how the pipex takeover has effect them ? as they seem to have sent f2s downhill fast.

Yeah, I'm also worried about that. However, their speeds from ADSLGuide's compare are very good compared to other ISP's. So far, I've only located Zen who are faster of the big ISP's.

Look at this - despite F2S's drop, Nildram remained perfectly steady

If the news group access is like pipex you can upgrade and get a few extra GB / an extra connection or two for a small amount each month- probably works out cheaper than buying through a propper news seller.
