Hi,

I have just recently bought two Nintendo DS Lites, one for me and one for the wife.

We have both been thoroughly enjoying playing Karts against each other and I have recently picked up a copy of Super Mario which takes me back to my teens.

Do any of you have some suggestions on other DS titles that I should be looking at. I am actually willing to play anything as long as I can have fun with it and its not too repetative, I am also a sucker for online games.

Current games I have been thinking of getting are:
Advance Wars: Dual Strike (on order from Tesco Jersey)
Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow
Animal Crossing

Do you also have any suggestions on some cheap sites which sell DS games?

Thanks,

Jason.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Done a bit of a search online for the game and it appears I will need to import it.

How did you get on with the fact that all the instructions are in Japanese?

Any suggestions on where to import it from?

Lik-Sang and PlayAsia both sell it for around £28 but there is a cheaper retailer!

YesAsia currently have it priced at £24.38:

http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDep.../version-all/did-10357/fil-51/pid-1004028136/

Add the coupon code WGDS1 during the checkout and you'll bring the price down to £22. This coupon gives you a five dollar discount on your first order.

Delivery time for me was 5 days.

As for the instructions, its dead simple. No need to read the book!

the only translation you need is for the menus found here: http://crackedrabbitgaming.com/guides/ouendan-menu-translation/

New Super Mario Brothers game is a good laugh (not sure if this is the ony you have or not?), as is Animal Crossing :)

also its worth trying to get hold of Another Code: Two Memories.

I brought Dragonball z: Supersonic Warriors 2 the other day, been so long since I played a beat em up. No idea about the characters but the game is fun and challanging to play.

My DS is the first consolely product I have brought since I have a mega drive all them years ago, really enjoying my DS there are some quality games out, also got Super Mario Cart, many because I enjoyed it on the nes.

Get Animal Crossing with the Wifi USB connector if you dont have wireless, you won't regret it! I'm currently in my mates town stealing all his peaches to bury for peach trees at my own town.

haha sounds like a laugh :D

Thanks all for your suggestions. I will take a look at all of them and let you know how I get on.

I have tried my mates metroid but I couldn't get on with the controls and the stylus...maybe I just need practice.

thees a bit of a learning curve for it and you cant play it for too long a time or your hands will probably start to hurt.
Try and pick up a thumb strap as apparently its MUCH better with one.

Some good games are:

Trauma centre under the knife
Phoenix Wright ace attorney
Wario Ware TOUCHED – Brilliant games

Heres a list of games released and up and coming

Great list of games!

Thanks all for your suggestions. I need to start buying now.

I found this site which sells games quite cheaply. Not sure if any of you have used them before ->

definitely get Ouendan....but be prepared to be annoyed by it. J-pop + frustrating touch-screen combos = bleeding eyes and ears

i also love:

Trauma Center (if you get stuck on it, you might as well give up)
Kirby's Power Paintbrush
New Super Mario
Sonic Rush (turn the volume down though)
Animal Crossing
Nintendogs (only get it if you like the idea of having a pet)

I would recommend Bomberman DS (quite hard to find though now I think but I got it for £13.50 with NUS in HMV the other day) for excellent DS download play so only one cart is required. Mario Kart DS is quality for both single and the even better online play and the fact that it has bots makes it even better. New Super Mario Bros is the best single player game on the system in my view and has some excellent multiplayer games.
