Nintendo DS - what can it do?

Hello guys

Im thinking of buying a DS to prove Im smarter than my mum on brain training

p) , but it got me thinking. What can it do other than play games - if anything

media player

m3 cards have apps on like calculators and notepad type things iirc.

Media player, just about, though videos are a right faff. Some PDA type things (notepad, calendar) but also more bother than they're worth. Homebrew games are pretty good.

If you want media functionality, the PSP is a better bet.

it doesnt really do anything else, either that or others can do it much better.

it does however have a huge library of amazing games, can play others online via wifi and also play against others nearby wirelessly too!

enough reason to get one really

I regret taking my DS in for a PSP, never really bought anything from GTA LC/VC stories, Loco Roco, Metal Gear and Lumines.

Loads of great games on the DS, and Guitar Hero : On Tour is on pre-order now.

Whilst it's not as media orientated as the PSP it plays games MUCH better in my opinion.
