Nissan Juke - USB overrides Bluetooth: fix?

Afternoon OcUK,

Currently in a Nissan Juke rental car, and the USB device connected overrides the Bluetooth device connected...so you have to listen to what's on the phone being charged rather than anything else!

Anyone know a fix for this?

Just want the Bluetooth to override/have music priority over the one connected by USB.

Are you trying to stream music over Bluetooth, ie Spotify etc? If so just hit play, it's overridden the USB connection in the rental cars that I've had in the past.

iTunes, but pressing play just goes with the iTunes on the USB iPhone rather than Bluetooth. Pressing play on the Bluetooth iPhone just plays through the phone's speaker unfortunately.

Use a USB cable that only has power lines rather than power and data?

Nothing a bit of masking tape wouldn't fix

It looks to think it's the same device connected by USB and Bluetooth, that's what's causing the problem...even though the USB iPhone has BT switched off. Most peculiar.

rather than mess around could you just get a usb adaptor for the 12v and just charge your phone that way, rather than through the cars built in usb?

FIP is very odd - went from some kind of dance music, to country and western, then some classical, then 60s jazz, and then a banjo group. Then silence as it could be tolerated no more.
