Arrived today, installed it, and noticed some flickering lines and dots, restart the PC to get this.. :/

Perhaps, but difficult to debug with no information or system specs provided. :(

Here is the basic information we request when we start debugging at AMD.

Describe your system:

  • AMD Graphics Card
    • Make and model; e.g. AMD R9 290X
  • Desktop or Laptop System
    • If a laptop, make and model of the Laptop
  • Operating System
    • E.g. Windows 10 64bit
  • Driver version installed
    • E.g. Radeon Software Crimson Edition 15.12
  • Display Devices
    • Make and model, connection/adapter in use, resolution and refresh rate; e.g. Samsung UE32850R 3840x2160 @60Hz Active DP to HDMI adapter
    • One line for each display device connected
  • Motherboard + Bios Revision
    • Make and model; e.g. Asus P8P67 Deluxe Bios Version 6643
  • CPU/APU
    • Make and model number; e.g. FX 9590
  • Power Supply Unit Make, Model & Wattage
    • E.g. Thermaltake TR2 700W Gold
  • RAM

Describe your issue:

Currently, Im not seeing the lines etc, just getting a black screen every so often... Both HDMI ports Have the same issue.

Currently, Im not seeing the lines etc, just getting a black screen every so often... Both HDMI ports Have the same issue.

1. Check motherboard BIOS is up to date, latest version 1505. https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8H77M_PRO/HelpDesk_BIOS/
2. Update Windows to latest build (1809) + install all available updates.
3. Download and run DDU in safe mode, clean all AMD restart.
4. Download 18.2.3 which is the latest driver and install + restart.
5. Try resetting the monitor OSD values to default, then installing the monitor driver here > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/LU28E590DS/EN/

If the same issue occurs, are you using a certified HDMI 2.0 cable? Could be a bad cable. Check any replacement has the certified logo and is not a cheap rain-forest cable.

You can also try switching to a certified DP1.2 cable.

Thanks, cable works perfect with two other monitors so I dont think its that, got a dp cable on the way to test it, got a new mobo coming end of the week so ill be doing a complete clean install and hopefully that will solve it! We will see.
