Nitromors says it's suitable for metal, is it safe to assume this includes ally engine parts, such as heads?

It's HORRIBLE on your skin, it burns and it hurts :(

If you're doing a biggish thing with it, it eventually soaks through the gloves, so make sure you wear good thick ones, it proper hurts on your skin. Horrible stuff.

Yeah it seems to be able to get through latex gloves and REALLY burns - beware :D

just remember if its on your hands wash them before you pee, yes i once burnt my boaby with nitromors

Thats because latex isnt proof against quite a lot of compounds. You want Nitrile gloves (I believe these are also available as marigolds too).

I knew you shouldn't use it on fibreglass and plastics and just wanted to make sure ally was OK, but I couldn't really see why not.

I've used it loads of times before on wood and got it on my skin and it hasn't burned badly, just a bit red and itchy. No worries, I had that rare unburnable skin. I got marine clean over my arms earlier with no problems either, it says on the bottle "for god's sake wash it off immediately or it could burn" but it's pussy ;)

hope it's fine on alloy - used it on all my motorbikes! :D

only things worse than getting it on your skin are:

a) getting it in your eye.
b) getting it in a cut on your skin.

i think a) wins to be honest as it could send you blind...

lots and lots of water needed immediately!
