i have a Gigabyte GA-8N-SLi Royal motherboard, i think that the motherboard is the most likely cause of this, anyway If i have my mouse (razor copperhead) plugged in while attempting to boot my pc it gets passed the "verifying dmi pool data" then it is a blank screen afterwards, if i unplug the mouse the pc will boot fine. i am not sure weather it could be something in the bios as it is before windows loads.
