No Filler Albums

Isis - Panopticon
Cursive - Cursive's Domestica
Elliott Smith - XO

(Lots of albums I listen to have no filler, because even if the song doesn't work by itself, it helps the album, and works within the confines of the album. See: Post-rock for examples)

The Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldiers
The Rifles - No Love Lost
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
The Editors - The Back Room
The Libertines - Up The Bracket
Dirty Pretty Things - Waterloo to Anywhere
Flogging Molly - Within a Mile of Home
We Are Scientists - With Love and Squalour
Idlewild - Warnings/Promises
Maximo Park - A Certain Trigger
The Vines - Vision Valley

Absolutely agreed, I hear (or should I say "read", seems to be a problem with online discussions in particular ;)) a lot of people complaining about filler tracks, but if you listen to the album as a whole then they work perfectly well. The filler label quite often seems to be applied to short quieter tracks (or even sections of tracks), but without these the impact of the next track would be lessened or removed entirely. Maybe the majority of people don't like music that actually has dynamics anymore though, judging by the way a lot of CDs are mastered nowadays.

without including greatest hits cds mixes etc

mr scruff - get a move on
NWA - straight out of Compton
mr oizo - half a scissor
daft punk - homework
bloc party - silent alarm

all the above i can happily listen too right through without skipping tracks as many times as i want

Oasis - (What's the Story?) Morning Glory

I can listen to The Lighthouse Family and Fleetwood Mac's Greatest Hits albums without skipping a single track. But they are the "greatest hits" so I guess that doesn't count :)

The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses. The complete Stone Roses if thats allowed.

They took that from an advert for an early/mid 90's advert for a compilation CD.

Three very different albums, but i'll listen straight through any of them...

The Figurines - Skeleton
The Thermals - The Body, The Blood, The Machine
Neutral Milk Hotel - Aeroplane Over The Sea
Mountain Goats - The Sunset Tree
Tokyo Police Club - A Lesson In Crime (EP)
