No longer overclocked :S

Hi there,

I bought the Goliath bundle a year and a bit ago. It used to run a 3.2 ghz but now it is just at 2.66ghz. I've used CPUID to check.

It's a i7 920 CPU

What's wrong with it?

doesn't cpuid only indicate what the current speed is ie when near idle it steps down thus showing a lower speed?

Try running a couple of intensive things in the background with cpuid open so you can see if the speed goes up?

For example mine shows as 800mhz in cupid when just browsing then bumps to 3.4 ghz for games etc

Pop into the BIOS and press F11 I think, this should give you a list of save profiles.

If you look at the bottom of the screen before doing F11 it should read load CMOS from BIOS or something along those lines
