No more long queues at the bar!

It would never catch on due the cups being plastic. Especially over here. Events maybe?

Yeah, plastic is the killing point for this. If I'm given a plastic glass I always ask for a glass one. Unless it's an event or something. I can see how it'd reduce the queue at major events though, NEC sized etc.

Got to agree plastic cups is a right bummer, but I'm sure it won't be long til they get pint glasses working on this.

Never mind that video.. What exactly were you watching before you fell upon this!!

Just look at the vids surrounding that one. :D

lol, did not even pay attention to the links. Came across this in an online nes site, Daily mail I think.

My dad was visiting a company that designed these and reckons it's one of the best things he has seen in the industry. Apparently doing it this way gives you the magic number for filling a glass. Thankfully the glasses can also be re-used so no throwing away hundreds of plastic glasses.

Fast food restaurants have been doing that with soft drinks from the top for a long time. I don't see how it's an improvement going from the bottom.

Because filling beer from the top directly (without a tilted glass) leads to nothing but froth. Filling from the bottom creates a "buffer" of beer that stops the rest of it frothing up.

Try pouring a can of beer into a glass (or from a tap) thats standing upright and see what happens.
