I've got a samsung TV which can play any type of file through the usb and even outputs the 5.1 sound over optical straight to my amp but I'm currently trying out XBMC and am loving it. Setting it up as we speak.

..and you can watch YouTube on your 60" screen!!!
The YouTube plugin on Plex, (possibly the same on XBMC), will automatically load HD streams where available.
I know, I watch them on my 60"
