No signal using display port 5850 crossfire

I've just got a display port cable to run off my 5850 crossfire setup but i'm getting "no signal" from the monitor when I try and use it, any suggestions? DVI is fine.

very wierd but if its a Dell as it probably is mine I had to actually enable it on the monitor (auto did not work).

Thanks, it's an NEC. I've tried both selecting it through the OSD and letting it find it automatically, still no signal.

Are you using an adaptor? It needs to be active

It's a bog standard display port cable, display port male to display port male, i'm not sure what "active" means?

It should just work as its a digital connection just like DVI.

That's what I thought, weird, I might take one of the cards out and see if that makes a difference or swap them around.

I pulled one of the 5850's and still no go. Swapped it for the other one, again no signal, looking more like a cable/monitor issue now.

Sorted it, stupid cable was faulty, £50 in cables in total, deep joy.
