As title really, did a search but it was too broad to find me what i was looking for.

I can't hear anything from online sources (youtube etc), but i can hear anything else stored on my pc, music files and sounds etc. So far, checked all my volumes etc, reinstalled firefox and reinstalled flash, what else could it be?

Thx

Got windows 7? If you got the volume icon in the taskbar then click on it then click mixer to see the individual volume sliders for each application trying to output sound. Your firefox one might be muted.

nope, as i said, checked them all, it's anything online, ie8 (or whatever version i have) and firefox

Mine done that just click the Volume Icon then went to Individual Applications that had their volume down to low. You wouldn't happen to be using the Corsair HS1's or Use Teamspeak while watching Youtube Videos?

again, i've checked these already, they are all on full and unmuted. I don't use any of what you said there.

Using an Asus P5Q pro board with realtec HD audio sound onboard if that's any use.

When you click the volume control you don't always see every app that is running sound. Have you cheeked if there is a slider bar at the bottom?

Finally managed to solve this issue. It was a problem with an incompatibility with the realtek drivers and Flash, so i uninstalled flash, downloaded latest HD audio drivers from realtek and installed them. I then went onto youtube, reinstalled flash when prompted and voila, i have sound from the internet again :D
