Noctua fans toppled at last?

I've been hearing a lot about Gentle Typhoon fans for a while now around the interwebs so I though I'd give the 1450rmp version a try in a new build.

Subjectively, in a side by side comparison at 12V with a NF-P12 I found them to not only to push a lot more air, but were also noticably quieter of all things!

And they are ~£7 cheaper then Noctuas too!

OK, it does not come with rubber pins, the cable is a bit short and not nicely braided, they have a massive motor and mounting can be a bit tricky as the frame is not 'ribbed' (so cant be held with rubber pins or clips that hold onto the 'inside' of the frame).

But now I dont see why anyone would want to buy any of the current Noctua fans again for thier asking price?

500 rpm: 0.015 A - 5 dBA - 31 m³/h
800 rpm: 0.023 A - 9 dBA - 48 m³/h
1,150 rpm: 0.034 A - 16 dBA - 63 m³/h
1,450 rpm: 0.049 A - 21 dBA - 85 m³/h
1,850 rpm: 0.083 A - 28 dBA - 98 m³/h

I would say the apaches are stil better

Not having an apache to hand I cant comment. All the other akasa fans I've had time with were horrible. But I've heard that the apache may have been outsourced from scythe themselves, so who knows?

Plus dont take the maketing blurb for face value. Or do you really think they have a static preasure 26? :p

Oh, and I forgot to mention to steer clear of the 500/800rpm versions as they apparently has a nasty rattle. Just undervolt a 1000+rpm version.
