Noctua NH-D14 v Corsair Hydro H60/80/100?? v Noise etc

Great info Uncle Petey!!! Helps me out a lot the way you put it!

No worries mate.
If I can offer an actual purchase suggestion, I'd say first choice: Go with the Silver Arrow SB-E (No price hinting.) or 2nd: The K2.
Both offer PWM and the very low noise levels that you're after.
Phanteks is great, but some complain of a certain hum or tonality to the fans.
The D14 is a good choice too, but it's too ugly for my eyes with those fans :D

With above recommendations you can run all fans at 8-900rpm with almost no noise.
Be careful what PSU you get. Loudest bit in my system is PSU. :(

R3 is great case but for a £10 more I would get R4.. more room for big coolers, more room for cable management and most importantly 140mm fans instead of 120mm fan. Either way plan on buying a few more case fans so you have 2x fans in front and 1x fan bottom intake with 1x rear exhaust. Keeping top vents closed will keep case quieter. Raising case so you have 50mm clearance quiets bottom fans and increases airflow.

I made myself a caster base for clearance and ease of movement.

I use a single fan sealed loop water cooler on my overclocked 2500K and it is silent.
Will not use an air cooler again tbh (don't want all that weight hanging off my motherboard).

YOUR BASKET
1 x VTX3D HD 7850 X-Edition 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £149.99
1 x XFX HD 6870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £139.99
Total : £289.98 (includes shipping : FREE).

It's a no brainer really. The 7850 has more VRAM aswell, there is a £140 7850 but it only has 1GB of VRAM. You want 2GB to be looking forwards. I suggested the MSI 7850 as it's clocked well and includes games and has a 3 year warranty, you can OC these GPUs very well

Hi honosuseri, Thanks again Im thinking of getting the build then getting a graphic card after so i dont cheap out on anything! I was thing of a card around £120 but £150 is not so far away!

Are you going to play games on this build?
If not, you don't need a 7850/6870 for this build unless your software can use the discrete gpu to accelerate your music software/production.
Save the money and spend it on something else and just use the built in graphics.

Thanks for your reply AtaRo, Im going to get the main build & get a card later so not to cheap out on anything!
