I think nlel1975 meant as I am only looking to clock in the 4.4-4.6GHz range it is wasted..

the stock fans are the best for performance

I would say this is right. Still would like to hear if anyone has done this. A few degree would not put me off this if it was straight-forward enough.

both of them get good reviews and are around your price range.

i personally went for the corsair and should have it this week and will give a small review on it.
