Noctua NH-D15 cooler compatability

I have an old I5-2500k system still works but was wondering if it was possible to put a Noctua NH-D15 in an I7-6700K which is a Socket 1151 LGA system, all I would need is a mounting backet possibly?
Rather than spend money on another noctua cooler?

hmm so it shows as compatible on their website checker, but when i tried to fit the plate on back of board it didnt quite feel right.
ie one side felt bit wobbly and flush on board as my board as a metal bit that sticks out from board, maybe it's a different plate i need will investigate online bit more.
