Quick question as I haven't used a Nokia phone in a while. I remember that the nokia phones has a pc-suite type of program to synchronise and backup the phone. Do the new N-series phones have the ability to synchronise with Outlook or do you still have to use the nokia suite program?

Are there any other Nokia phones that can synchronise to Outlook? Or is there specific 3rd party software that'll do this?

Thanks guys. :)

As far as i remember you have to use the pc suite to synch with outlook, well thats how i used to do it with my 6680 and N80 phones. Dont think you can synch without pc suite installed.

But does the nokia-synch work well with synching with outlook? Is it reliable? I have a SPV which uses active synch as it has windows mobile on it so there is not intermediary step.

If it's reliable and you're happy with it I'll pass on the info to him :)

All of Nokia's smartphones will sync with Outlook via Nokia PC Suite.

Active Sync (used with the SPVs) will automatically sync every time a detail in Outlook changes, whilst Nokia PC Suite will only sync periodly/when you connect. It's not quite as good, but it is reliable. Nokia's E-Series will also do over the air syncing too.

I find their syncing ability to be fine. It's also a bonus that they sync with Lotus Notes and Apple iSync out of the box too. :)
