I know i know! Its not a mobile phone... but I couldn't think of any other forum to post it in.

Anywho... this natty gadget looks to be a real winner. Full qwerty keyboard running a Linux OS for under £300. Proper browser (flash, java support etc...) wifi/bluetooth of course. Touch screen.... damn I want one now :( The only dates I can find for release is "Mid Nov".

So anyone else?

I've already got a Nokia 770 which isnt a world apart, similar linux OS but missing the keyboard/GPS (Other bits are missing too but imo these are the main ones). It depends on what you want, the 770 will work on most sites, it doesnt have the latest flash support so doesnt work with Youtube etc but you can buy a 770 for about £70. Lots of good 3rd party apps too.

Maybe worth looking at the N800, it doesnt have the keyboard or GPS but is pretty much exactly the same hardware, it'll get the free upgrade to OS2008, plus it's a lot cheaper.

Guy at work has the N800 which as helped me decide to get a N810. The qwerty keyboard is a big deal to me. I will be doing a lot of command line work from it, sshing into servers and what not. The GPS is probably not a selling point, I have a N95 if I need to see a Nokia device take ages to get a satellite lock :p

I had a N800 for a while and really liked it. Pairing it with my phone was really easy and browsing the web on such a high-res screen was great.

My only complaints were that text entry was a pain (now fixed) and the web-browsing crashed quite often (now fixed?).

Hi JBod, did you get it then, how is it?

Yes I did and its flipping amazing! The browsing is fantastic, mobile browsing where you can finally see everything. Personally I wanted it so I can ssh into servers as well and its brilliant for that.

Very nice very fast interface, lots of available programs as well.

I made this post using the n810 from a pub!
