As there have been at least 3 other posts mostly about the same thing surrounding this phone, maybe it would be best to have just the 1 "master topic" instead of 3 small ones going on? I have stupidly replied to all of them, but only realised afterwards as they are all so similar to eachother.

Anyways, what I would like to know is if this phone would be worth a total outlay of £484.99? Thats the one on O2 (£25 a month & £184.99 handset fee)

I already have another contract I started a few months ago, and am kicking myself now I know that this one is coming out. Im quite tempted to sell my Samsung E900 on and use this one instead, assuming it would be unlocked to all networks?

Not sure if you care much about the quality of the photos but if you do you might want to wait a bit longer for new firmware to come out and by the time that comes out it should be cheaper.

Also I went into an O2 shop the other day and asked about this phone and the guy was saying that it won't be out for another 2 months  So I guess it isn't "officially" out yet and the phones on the web are sim unlocked with an O2 sim?

I do hope that if I get a contract phone from O2 that it will be unlocked as I would be using my Orange SIM, as I only want the phone and dont care about the contract side.

If you go to the high street they will tell you about a month, but at the moment there are a few select online sites where you can get the phone now. Im tempted to go for it now if O2 dont have there own software on the phone when I get it, as it will be annoying to say the least if that is the case.

Would I be stupid in buying it now?

I need some help from all you guys, I might be looking in the wrong places I dont know.

What im after is if there is any contracts where I can get the phones handset price cheaply, but where the grand total for the year comes under £500, inclusive of delivery, 12 months worth of line rental etc?

If there is somewhere please let me know :D

I didnt make myself too clear earlier.

What im really after is the cheapest handset price but without a huge line rental cost.

Is that possible for a total outlay at or below £500?

BUMP!

Anyone know anywhere that I can buy this phone on a contract? I dont really want to pay the full SIM-free price for it as I dont have £500 for it at this time. Prefer the contract route as it acts as more of a "monthly installments" as well as free mins & texts at the same time ;)

Seems to be that only O2 & Vodafone will be having this phone available then? Any reason why no other networks would be willing to take it on? Would be perfect if orange did seeing as thats the network that I would be using in the 1st place, if it wasnt for the fact that the N93 seems to have disappeared from the face of the earth for no reason?

Any reason why going with Vodafone is so darn expensive compared to all other contracts?

The networks haven't released the phone yet, the websites are selling sim-free phones with a contract sim card. If you ask O2 about N93 they have no clue...

I just had my email saying my n93 has been dispatched, didnt get it cheap tho :( £40/month on vodafone but the handset was only £100 so i cant complain too much, ill post some pics and maybe a few videos once i get it! :D

Where did you go to get that then? Was it a website or high street? I might be tempted to pay that if its 12 months and unbranded/unlocked

If that was a 12-month contract I would have signed up by now, but having it for 18-months is far too expensive as it makes the total outlay a whopping £820.

I didnt want to have to get the phone SIM-free as that seems a more expensive deal as there are no free mins involved, also having to pay the whole £500 in one go (average sim-free amount) but with all companies holding back the phone at a decent monthly rate, maybe thats the only way to go?

The way its going all the other companies could hold it back until Xmas time

yeah i thought that it was quite expensive aswell but, its including 350 anytime mins a month and 500 texts, plus it also has the stop the clock promotion on aswell which seems to be quite good - i dont relly know too much about it just free calls for 57 mins after u pay for the first 3? anyway ill post what the phone is actually like tomoro when it arrives

Im a bit worried about going for it SIM-free, as I phoned onestopphoneshop today and Nokia called back the N93 as they did
"a product recall because of a technical issue"

It kind of made me think that all the available SIM-free might not work correctly?

Perhaps Nokia are putting better firmware on the phones as the current one is a little buggy? Maybe better firmware to improve the camera quality too...

Wouldnt that be nice, might even make the doom casters shut up about it, the fanboys that want something else :o

And to think that I was going to get this phone early, not sure what it means if people have this phone already, does that mean all the early phones will get recalled as well?

Maybe they will come back, very soon, with an updated firmware with better camera quality, better battery life with it being so sturdy that it no longer has a temptation to switch off or need switching off to receive messages

BUMP!

Any updates on the Nokia N93 releases at all? Go SIM-Free or wait for the contract phones to start rolling off the production line?
