Nolan officially announces Batman 3!

Okay as an old man, someone tell me about Hush.
I've never heard of him.

Harley Quinn could be in it always making reference to Mr J, without having to actually see him.

Actually kind of hoping they pull a lame "OH LOOK TWO-FACE WAS DIDN'T REALLY DIE" switch, because they set his character up so brilliantly, only to do so little with him in DK.

Meh another BM film that will probs suck. Is no one else not a fan of the batman films except the first 2? I really liked them first 2 and after them it went down hill and the new dark knight ones just really didnt like as nothing batman about em imo.

Don't see why people are jumping on the no 3D thing so hard. Assuming the director is a world class retard, which Nolan isn't, 3D is just another effect. You also always have the choice of just not seeing it in 3D.

Anyway, looking forward to it as I was with the last 2. I personally would quite like to see Bane as the villain.

Can't see the penguin being in it personally, Tim Burton done him, and done him so horrendously badly it makes me want to weep.

Fixed it for you :p

I think Hush would be a fantastic choice. I'm not convinced Catwoman will be in it either, I think everyone's jumping to a quick conclusion there - I'd take a punt at Talia Al Ghul being in it, especially since her Dad was in the first.

Otherwise Penguin, Hugo Strange or maybe (outside shot) Black Mask.

3D is not just another effect that can be tacked onto a film. In order to shoot an entire film in 3D without making your head spin the director needs to cut down on fast edits. Imagine films like Goodfellas shot in 3D with no fast edits. They just wouldn't be the same. Plus when I took my glasses off while watching Avatar in the cinema I noticed the colours were so much more vibrant.

I'd rather great film making and story telling than hamstringing an entire film for some colour faded fad.

Once again, the only reason 3D would "hamstring" a film is if the director is a world class retard trying to cash in on 3D tickets which is currently the main problem with 3D movies. I've seen a few movies in 3D and 2D so far, Avatar, Toy Story 3, Alice in Wonderland, I found the 3D in all of them very well done and didn't distract from the story.

3D is not some big evil thing that ruins movies, bad directors/producers ruin movies by sticking 3D onto their movie when it doesn't fit or by doing it badly.

Bane and the whole knightfall scenario would work very well in nolans universe and darkness...

I was just thinking Bane would be a brilliant villain, as long as he is portrayed properly!

The actual genius who works out who the Batman is not poison ivys puppy dog

You missed my point entirley about the effect of fiming for 3D with regards to quick edits etc. I wasn't talking about cheap 3D tactics of things flying out of the screen ... which, as you rightly mention, is annoyingly bad.

You must be the only person I have seen with this view!

Make that 2. ;)

I didn't think much of the first 2 movies. I'm not saying they were bad, but they weren't great. The Dark Knight which is rated highly by many, IMO, was far too long. It got pretty boring after the prison lorry scene, which is when I began clock watching, The ending was pretty weak, too.

What I will say, is that since the same team are making the 3rd movie, if you liked the first 2 movies, you will also like the 3rd movie. Basically, expect more of the same.

If it is half as good as Batman Begins then bring it on.

Dark Knight was excellent also but not as good as the first for me.

Anyone that plays Batman must have that dark side to him. Michael Keaton had it whereas Val Kilmer and George Clooney didn't.

Christian Bale has it in abundance and long may he be the Batman.
