I'm not a fan of energy drinks as they all seem to contain caffein and I don't touch anything with caffein in at all, I doubt this very much but is there any non-caffeinated energy drinks out on the market ? only asking as i haven't been sleeping well recently and could do with a little boost during work :) .

Urm I very much doubt it as caffine is one of the main things that gives you that boost I think :o

Only thing I can think of is a Class A drug :p

Any reason why you don't touch caffine? I mean obviously it's fine in moderation, like most things.

Have you tried just drinking more water? Obviously depends how much you drink at the moment anyway, an you don't need to drink loads anyway. Won't give you a boost as such, but you may feel more alert if you are currently a bit dehydrated at work.

I'm hyper sensitive to it.

Alternatively one I've always liked is Purdeys http://www.britvic.com/Brand.aspx?key=Purdeys

That might do the trick, I'll have to give it a try,

any more out there ?

Arn't bananas supposed to be high in energy ?, I know it's not a drink but still.

just add some sugar. That's all they are, just add glucose to a normal drink aka sugar.

I could make my own energy drink. Just mix caffiene powder, sugar, water and squash :D

Could make it carbonated water to, would give it a more soft drink like effect.

Would be damn cheap compared to buying an energy drink like red bull too.

i use red bull to give me energy for thai boxing but its full of caffine and leaves me totally wired :D :D

does anyone no if theres an energy drink thats not fizzy, as the bubbles make my constantly belch durring training

My advice would be eat breakfast and keep a bottle of water on your desk.

Funny you should say that as I can't even remeber that last time I had breakfast in the morning and I rarely drink that much water, I think it's definitely something that I need to address, I'm nearly 30 now :o so perhaps skipping breakie every morning is starting to take it's toll in me old age.

It's not something that only applies in older age. Skipping breakfast and being dehydrated will lower your metabolism and energy levels at any age!

I gaurantee the main causes of your sleep problems are dehydration and low metabolism. On top of the sound advice Telescopi gave you, you could also try eating a banana or something as an afternoon snack. Healthy snacks help keep the metabolism up whilst also giving u a steady energy supply through complex carbs :)

guarana breeze
(or amazon guarana chewing gum does the same job)
There's a Guarana Bar in Brighton which is pretty cool :) I only tried the fizzy drink though - was pretty much Sprite but a little bit energising.
