Non macro with my macro

Haven't had much chance to do many proper macros with my new Tamron 90mm Di lens this week.
However, it seems a fantastic lens for portrait shots, the detail it picks up is amazing.

Here's one of one of the cats (at full size the fur detail is superb). C&C welcome as ever...

That's what I thought :) . Was a lovely (very tacky admittedly) photo moment with the sun streaming through the window and the cat asleep amongst the stuffed animals.
Know what you mean about it being a bit busy tho, I blurred the background in PS slightly more than it was naturally though to help compensate...
 
I quite like the background as it gives the impression the stuffed toys are keeping a watchful eye on their real life friend while it rests peacefully. )

That's very true. If taking close up portrait shots of people they won't thank you, unless you do some subtle Photoshop work before they see it.
My cat hasn't complained yet though :)
